Mother's Day Photos

What an honor to be this little bug's mama. For my first Mother's Day, we went for a hike at Afton State Park with Auntie C and Uncle O.  We brought a picnic to have under some pretty trees, and Micah spoiled us with three different desserts from the Coop...a vegan chocolate cake, a carrot cake, and a strawberry shortcake. YUM! Oh how I love being a mom...I can't even imagine life with Soren, and he's only been here for 3 months.

420 Daly Happenings

 Big news! Soren can put himself to sleep in his swing...here he is tuckered out after singing and playing all morning. Note the mohawk.  Always styling at 420 Daly.

 Hello world! I have a big cloth-diapered bottom.

 He loves to be wrapped in his cozy quilt to sleep.

 Or nestled in next to his daddio.

 Nanna came to visit for the weekend!

 And Soren discovered he can eat his own hand.

9 Weeks

8 Weeks

At 8 weeks, Soren can:
Put his hands and fingers in his mouth (semi-purposefully?)
Flap his arms with the best of them...he's got wild arms
Smile & coo, especially when he's on his changing pad
Sit in his tub without the net and kick his legs in the water
Blow big spit bubbles

I love when he:
Flaps his arm like a chicken when he's eating
Looks up at me with his milky smile
Shrieks & scares himself (big eyes!)

At his 2-month appointment, Soren weighed 11 pounds, 7 ounces, exactly 3 pounds up from his birth weight. He was 24 inches long...that puts him in the 1st percentile for weight-to-height ratio.  He's a talk drink of water, this one...
