Out & About in May

 Dogsitting Dora, our friends' dog. She's an Italian mutt.  Papi + Dora = BFF.

 Playing with his new doctor bag. Stethoscope is a major hit. He wears it around his neck all day long.

 Was a little confused about its purpose though...I think we've got it cleared up now.

 Always wants to go outside. Puts his shoes on and is ready. Thank heavens for nice weather!

 A quick trip to the Como Zoo. Giraffes were the favorite that day.

Harriet Island Park

 We are always on the lookout for a great new park. Since we were at the passport office right next to the Harriet Island Park, we stopped by to play for awhile. The views of Saint Paul were pretty gorgeous, and Soren played with a lot of little kiddos and scooped sand with a gelato spoon.

Also: when did he get so stinkin' big?!

Trains

We love spending a rainy afternoon at the Barnes and Nobles bookstore where they have these great Thomas train tables set up.  Soren loves putting the trains through the bridges and opening and shutting the doors at the station.

This book is always, always the one he chooses for bedtime. Out of the hundreds of books at the store, he picked it out. I think the lines "Horn went beep! Engine purred. Friendliest sound you ever heard." will be forever etched in my memories of Soren at this age.
