All Dressed Up
Soren went to church and got all dressed up...so we had a photo shoot.
We got some smiles on camera finally!
Thanks for the socks, Auntie Courtney! They fit great!

5 Weeks
At just over a month old, you have changed so much already, little boy. I haven't really captured it on film yet, but you smile when we talk to you now. You coo and gurgle, and you like to lay on your blanket and kick your legs all over the place. You are getting so strong; you can hold your head up on your own and turn your neck from side to side. We call you Little Birdie, and sometimes, Angry Bird, because you open and close your mouth like a baby bird when you are hungry. You like to sleep on Mama & Papa but not really in your cradle. You love bath time and never cry when we put you in the tub. So far you sleep about 4 hours at a time during the night. It's impossible for you to know how much we love you, Soren!

Cousins!
We had some big "firsts" a couple of weekends ago! We took our "new" (old!) Subaru on its first road trip to Duluth to meet Cousins Luke & Kate for the first time.
Nanna & Poppa J with their three grandkids: Katherine Joy (Kate), Luke William, and Soren Oscar. Soren and Luke are sporting matching outfits from Nanna J!
Soren and Luke were born 2 days apart. We are going to have so many adventures in store for us. While in Duluth, Nate showed Micah his maple syrup operation and we even came home with 2 jars of fresh maple syrup (yum yum).
A poppa, his two sons, and their two sons.
Soren did great on his first overnight adventure, and we even stole a rocking chair from Luke that Soren took a particular liking to.
After we arrived back in St. Paul, we welcomed our cousins from the Lundquist/Doty side, Cormac Brian and Liam Robert. Cormac was quite in love with his new little cousin. Liam is too busy to sit down very often, but he liked him, too!
We managed to get the crew to help us with some landscaping in our backyard. Pictures to come once we get some plants in.Meanwhile, Nanna played drums.
And the piano.
We spent time at an indoor park where the (bigger) cousins went wild. It's an amazing place, with this giant climbing and slide structure, all sorts of bikes to ride, bouncy houses, basketball hoops, a pool...kid paradise.
